Rex Racer,
Regarding Financing: That's an easy call. Your credit union will be
the best bet UNLESS Ford can beat it. Once you set up a pre-approved
loan with your credit union then all you do is dare the dealer to beat it.

Back in January I could get 3.9% at my credit union and the Lincoln
dealer got me in at 3.75%. Your rate won't be determined until you
take delivery though. Rates are about to climb up a bit (but just a
little bit) so don't worry too much about that.

"almost" fully loaded... perhaps it's not an automatic, and he's leaving the delivery charge out
Yes it's a loaded 5-spd manual. Tax, Title and License was not included. I don't know if the $625 delivery charge was added.

I'm also trying to get the price on the stripes too. I will get the low down when I put my deposit down.

Can anyone recommend the best route for financing? Credit Union, Bank, or Ford Financing? [/b][/quote]
I'm going to hit the dealers tommorrow and see what kind of deal I can strike up. As far as financing I think I'll use my credit union or Capital One and go into the dealer with the "Blank Check". If Ford can beat the financing then I'll go with them, if not then oh well. I'll probably hit Freedom Ford first since they are already doing deals.

There was a slight mistake in my original price quote - the optional 17" machined alloy wheels were not included. My new quote is $26,905 for a Premium GT (5-speed manual transmission, Shaker 1000 Audio System, Active Anti-theft System, Interior Color Accent, Interior Upgrade Package, Wheel Locking Kit, Seat Side Airbags, and 17” Bright Machined wheels.). With tax, title and license my out the door X-plan price is $27,816.

My salesman has been real helpful, so I want to give him a plug:

You can also contact this guy too...he's really helpful too
