A 05 Saleen silver in color came in the dealership today. First one in Texas.
This is the non supercharged saleen. Ok, this is just my opinion. First off it only has 325 hp coming from the engine. I can get that out of my 05GT by just getting a cold air kit and a tune. the exterior looks pretty good, but not a wow! look. The 20" rims were the nicest part of the car. The interior was about the same except for the saleen logo in the head rests and the gauges were a little different. The biggest killer is the price. The sticker price was $43,000 before the dealer markup. After markup the price was $51,000!!! They already had 3 people coming to buy this! $20,000 and my GT, could look alot better and alot faster than this Saleen. I was very disappointed!
My 2 cents worth.

I agree completely (except with the 20" rims). But you are paying for the name and exclusivity of owning a Saleen. One of the reasons that they put the number on the front end.

I understand you are buying a name but even the 02-04 saleens looked alot better than the GT's and much better horsepower. I could see buying those model years.

middelkauf is VERY unreasonable with prices unless you have X plan or somethin. $43k doesnt sound THAT bad for a saleen

Yes I know you called about the redGT. Sorry about the refferal, I did not know that they had the markup on the car that high!
but $43,000 just seems to steep for only a 25hp increase.
