Sometimes taking up 2 parking spots does more harm than good.

Ya...I think that peeves the "dingers" more when you take two spots. Parking way out in the back 40 with as least one curb next to you is the best choice.

My biggest "stress" parking is work...where the lot is always full no matter when you get there (we have three shifts running).

Just so you all know I DO PARK FAR AWAY some time I park near the concrete dividers and take up 2 spots! On this particular ocassion I was running into Radio Shack its in a little strip and my only option was to park next to cars! And get this I parked next to a 2001 red mustang v6. It had to have been him who dinged it cause when i came out the spot was empty and my door was dinged and i had only been in there like 10 minutes at most.

Firstly, how the heck could you tell it was an 01 exactly? Secondly, sorry about that, however, in this case it sounds like you ran into someone who had Mustang envy since your pony is nicer.

Sorry to hear about your dent. I always park away from everyone else. The other day though I come out of the mall and I see my car all the way in the back of the lot where there are no cars, EXCEPT this POS pickup truck parked so close to my passenger side that my friend could barely get in. Thre is no way this person got out without hitting my car and they totally did it on purpose since there were about 100 open spots closer then where mien was.

That kinda $hit pisses me off! Work up a nice loogy for him next time.
I carry an airout in my car. Its a valve cap that has a core remover built in. Just whip it out, loosing the valve core some, few minutes later hes got a flat. No damage dont, just an inconvienience.

Adam, Have you considered a dent repair, a paintless one. We have a guy in my area called "The Dent Doctor" I got a quarter sized dinger about a month after getting a new Explorer (in 2002). I was quoted quite a bit by a body shop.

Someone told me about this guy. Since the paint wasn't too damaged (a small nick but not clear through) he was able to take the dent out for $85.00 without any paint or dismantling.

Go to the yellow pages or call any used car manager (they use them all the time) and see what they can do. If your paint is not broken, in about an hour you'll never know it was dinged.

Good Luck
