Yesterday I am at work and I look outside at my car and there is this guy taking pictures of my car, no big deal its happened since I got the car, but this dude is out there with some really fancy camera and taking a lot of pics and a lot of time on each one. So I walk outside to talk to him, turns out he works for Meguiers and does all of their photos, for ads, products ect. He tells me that he lives in the area and has seen my car there everyday when he goes to work out at the gym, and that just the other day Meguiers told him that they wanted to use the 05 Mustang on their new product line that they will soon be coming out with and that since the owner of Meguiers loves black cars he instantly thought of mine and came by to take some pics of it. I moved it around for him a bit to get some better back lighting and he shot away, as I went back to work. When he finished he came in and talked some more. He says that those shots should be good enough he was going to go home and photoshop it to make it look perfect and to get rid of the running pony because of trademark issues, but that would probably be what they would be going with if Meguiers approves. He will let me know if they do and we will go from there, but the car will more than likely be on the boxes of their new product line. WAY COOL!!!

Funny thing, too, because I own a black '06 Mustang and I work directly across the (small, industrial) street from the Meguiars HQ in Irvine. I could throw a rock at their building from where I'm sitting.

PS: If you're going to have your car on their products, you should spell it Meguiar's

EDIT: In fact, the head of Meguiar's was picking up the Ford GT he special ordered the day I bought my Mustang. I watched him drive away in it!

No, in fact in my responses to the "wax debate" I have always contended that I perfer Meguiars over Zaino, Show Car Glaze #7 followed up by Hi-tech Yellow Wax #26, followed up by NXT Wax enhancer or quick detailer, or on a non-black car instead of the Hi-tech Yellow then the NXT wax, and I only say non-wax because you better be prepared to buff like mad on a black car, that stuff works too well on black and you can see a wierd haze effect in the DEEP, VERY REFLECTIVE surface when your done and need to keep buffing until you smooth it out evenly, but if you want to spend that time it is well worth it and looks amazing.

He is going to contact me before they do anything with it, he is just getting everything ready to go as it would be on the final product and then needs to present it to Meguiars for final approval, so we will see what I can work out.
