I recieved a call yesterday that my car has arrived at the dealership. I was very shocked because my salesman called last week and said the car was scheduled to be built March 7th. I went over to the dealer earlier to look over the car and note the mileage. The car had 4.4 miles on it when I got there. It's been so long since I drove an 05 GT, so I decided to drive it home and show my dad and brother. I drove back to the dealer and noted that the mileage was 9.1. I want to make sure no one else is driving it. I told my salesman to make sure that they don't drill the front bumper or add a dealer badge during prep. After that I went to my credit union and secured a loan for my Stang. I was offered a 60 month loan at 3.5% APR. Everything is set for me to pickup the car on Friday afternoon. While I was driving the car, I had to restrain myself from going thru the gears. This is my first V8 that I have owned and it sounds amazing. My dad just ordered a BMW 545i yesterday and when he gets it, he wants to run me

Congrats! I would give yourself some time to get used to the car before going too crazy. There have already been too many crunched ponies on here as it is. We don't need to decrease the surface population of 'stangs.

I am going to break the car in for 500 miles and then change the oil before I start accelerating hard. I want to get used to the dynamics of the car and how it responds, but that should come to me real quick. I have been driving RWD vehicles for the last few years, but this is the most powerful car I have owned. I am thinking of open-tracking my car sometime in April to see what needs to be adressed suspension/braking wise.

Congratulation! Gonna be a long wait till Friday. Glad that you are smart enough to learn about the car before you go crazy in it. Enjoy and watch your foot!

I will have pics Friday night. I may take the car in on Saturday to have it tinted, but I might just decide to drive it. I have two people I am going after when I get my car broken in. First, my friend Brian who owns a 350Z manual. He is a hater of Mustangs and domestics in general. Second, I want to see how my brother's E36 M3 does against the stang. My friend Joe just got a 04 GTO 6 speed, but he doesn't know how to drive. He is very excited to see the car himself. For the last 4 months, a lot of my friends and family kept asking when my Stang was coming in. I will have a large grin on my face for a while

It's snowing out right now, this stinks. The whole week it was nice out and now it has to snow.
