Beautiful pics of a beautiful car! Love the scenery. I think the Shelby GT-H hood really goes well with the GT500 front end. It really sets the car off!

OFF TOPIC: I've heard they're building all kinds of crazy palm tree-shaped islands on the coast of Dubai. Have you been to them? They look awesome!

Pic #4 is my desktop now! A tungsten GT500. And, it does indeed look killer with that Shelby hood!

(to the poster above me; You can look up those funky man-made islands at maps.google.com, don't forget to turn on the satellite view. They are very impressive to look at! I'd post a link, but my google-fu is weak right now, it seems, and I can't find them!)

Edit: Found one of them!

Your Shelby 500 Hood

G.T. Is that hood on your 500 an option, aftermarket or custom? Looks great, Erik

Really nice job on the conversion, I like that you used a different hood then the factory GT500 one (not that that one is not nice too) it just makes your conversion a little more unique.

I'm totally stuck for something to say that adequately expresses how much I love the car and the pictures. I can't come up with anything that does it justice.

Very nice...and I like Dubai... I definitely remember my port visit there during "Desert Storm." I'm sure Dubai has grown a lot since '91.

Rudiepoo1: these are the Shelby hood pins, found on both the Hertz GT-H and Shelby CS6.

for more details on the parts, and the conversion itself check out my
Shelby GT500/CS6 Conversion Photo Blog there you'll find a list of all parts used, and over 130 photos taken during the project

For more Photos taken during this shoot, check out my Oman Photoshoot blog

G.T., how did you deal with the washer nozzles. I didnt see that part listed on your site and I know they're not part of the CS6 hood. Did you just yank 'em off your stock hood?

Looks great! This may have been covered before, but whose hood are you running. It looks like the CS-6 from the GT-H.

i got the new nozzles with the hood from shelby, but didn't like the way they looked or worked
so yeah, i yanked 'em off my stock hood.. shaved off the clip and mounted them on with silicon based adhesive.. just enough to hold them in place, yet allow me to yank them back out should i need to

hope that helps!

RobK: Yeah, that's the Shelby CS6/GT-H hood (it's the same one used on both cars)

thanks for the kind comments guys.. i'm happy after all the work done, i'm not the only one that thinks she looks great

(oh and with the H.O Whipple.. she goes great too!)
