Well, it's been a long and hard journey but I finally picked up my car last night. I found out that my car reached its final rail destination on Sunday so yesterday I went to the rail yard to see if I could see my baby...NOT HARD TO DO! The only yellow car on the entire lot...crazy timing because I was there blankly staring for about 15 minutes when my car was loaded on a transport truck. UNBELIEVABLE! I screamed and called the dealership and scheduled a 6pm pickup! I ordered the upgraded rims but Ford didn't put them on...long story...so right now I'm stuck with the standard rims while the dealership orders the upgraded rims through parts. It's everything I expected and more...
My car came with 26 miles on it and I found out that my car was on "quality hold" because of that whining noise that I've heard other owners complain about, something with the axle that they needed to fix at the plant, I'm just glad it was caught and taken care of.
I had my windows tinted to 20% today, OH MY! I spoke to the owner of the tint shop and he said that they just cover the sensor on the door to make the door think it's closed so the windows will roll all the way up. He said not to roll the windows all the way down for 2 days but the occasional up/down from opening the doors won't damage the tint.
Am I the first member with a Screaming Yellow GT??
Here's my baby!

um, congrats. What's wrong w/ the pics?....or is it just me. They show up but, half of the picture is under/over exposed and all of them have a tearing effect...best I could describe.

Very nice Nichole. I was wondering if anybody was getting a yellow one. That was my second choice behind the torch red one (basically because I liked the red interior upgrade which obviously doesn't come with yellow)... Need more pics (and you should be in one of them smiling from ear to ear)...

To All You 2005 Mustang Lovers ....
My husband could not wait to get home every day to read what you'll had written. This has been gone on for months....I watched TV -alone, I went to bed - alone, etc...
And then Sunday a week ago we ever had to drove to the dealership (at 10:30pm) just to see if his new BABY had come in, only to find out later that it was delivered 1 hour after we left. Probably a good thing, he would have never slept that night knowing it was in. Who am I kidding he would have most likely sat at the dealership all night (I would have gone home alone). I feel like he has given birth. But she is beautiful! :worship: Yes, He is the proud father of a redfire metallic, red and black interior, 5 speed - manual, 2005 Mustang GT.
Saturday night we went to "look" around at a local car show and when he pulled up some guy waved him over and wanted the car in the show. I thought my husband was crazy, with all this car stuff over the 2005 Mustangs. But I was surprised to see how many people on the road are given us thumbs up and even stopping us in parking lots just to look at it, one lady even talked my husband into letting her sit in the car so she could tell her husband she had done so. I will have to say I haven't had this much fun driving or riding in a car, since we had our 1978 Trans Am (I miss that car, But not so much anymore).
My Husband said this car is his mid-life crisis, cheaper than a divorce and much more fun! And I have to say tonight was the first time since the car came in, he has gotten on the computer to read ya’lls postings. We have been out riding every night, but it is raining tonight and you wouldn’t what her to get rained on. Good Luck to all of you and enjoy the ride!
A Happy Wife to have her husband back and a 2005 Mustang GT!

Nicole Great looking car.
If you don't mind giving the last 6 numbers in your vin I would appreciate it. I was built 9/18 & still waiting.
Also, how did you find out about an axle problem? Do you know exactly what had to be repaired?
Thanks
