Happy pre-Birthday, Ed....It's an awesome car!!! Loaded with power, as you said!

Thanks, Bart....I'd seen that done on a GT on a different forum and it looked good.
I love that color red. It sort of breaks up all that grey on the wheel.

Your welcome! I guess I bought mine because I will turn 40 later this year!

And after getting it on 4/13, I finally got to drive it for a change this weekend. I was like that for the last week.

These cars are so addicting! I knew I wanted one, but the deal was sealed the first time I drove one! I came home and told hubby that I just HAD to have one. He wouldn't drive one cause he knew we WOULD have to buy it. ( Was trying to save for a bigger DP) We finally got one on a lot about 50 mi from home. Now, if he gets off work early, he'll come to my work and drive the Stang for awhile, then park it before I get off.

what type of paint (besides red) did you use, special automotive paint? did you leave them on the car to paint them? with what, spray or brushed on?

Hey...It's called Dupli-Color Caliper Paint Kit with Ceramic.
Found it at WalMart in Automotive Paint Section. Web address is www.duplicolor.com.
Removed tires, left calipers on brakes to paint. Painted with brush....FYI, Hubby bought several small craft paint brushes....box recommends removing all tires at once, but he did the back first, then front. The kit comes with only one brush..he needed more.
Hope this helps.

Hey, Guys....
Thanks for the compliments on the car..... today, we had just gotten out of the car in the parking lot at a restaurant and a young couple rode by in their old Ford pick up and the guy(driving) waved, then did the thumbs up sign and grinned really big. What a moment!
As the postman was putting mail in our box, I'd just turned into the driveway, and he asked me if that was my car, I said yes, (DUH) and he said it looked sharp! I finally met the girl at work who has a Black GT with red interior. She said she was wondering who drove the white GT(me) and I said the same to her about her black GT. I actually know her, too.

Well, in addition to the red brake calipers, so far we've added locking gas cap, tinted windows, XM Commander, Viper Security System, and Sequential Brake Lights. Now thinking of getting Flowmasters. No stripes as of yet.....still thinking about it.

Hi Carol curious did your hubby brush paint or spray your calipars ? reason I ask is that I am going to let my son do mine with me there of course. you know there is another Per White GT like mine but black int and she put Flowmasters on hers from purchase and I keep getting mistaken for her lol also I have 10,000 kilometres on now I guess 6-700 mile and now that the exhaust has burt some it is most definatley louder than was new. Hey Ed,
Hubby used several small craft paint brushes....he said the one that came with the kit wasn't enough. So, he bought more.
