I have ordered my last 2 vehicles the day dealers could actually place an order in the system and it took 5-6 months to see the vehicle arrive at the dealership. I will be very surprised to see a special order customer receive their car anytime soon. Car rental agencies had PT Cruisers to rent 2 months before I even got mine.
Also, I was not aware an order could be placed before pricing is even known. A salesman could say they ordered a car and not have any authority to do so. Maybe Ford is different, mine were through Chrysler and Jeep.

Guys, Take a deep breath . I'm excited too! (See sig) B) . By monday Brad will probably be doubling our knowledge base and confirming OR debunking some of the rumors about delivery , shipping, any problems etc. I certainly also hope that the author of this thread gets his car...and anyone else also asap. It will all sort out in the next week or two.
