Peter, Ich war vor 10 Jahren fuer 4 Jahren in Bayern stationiert als US Leutnant. Haben Sie schon die Moeglishkeit die Wagen zu fahren gehabt?

I habe immer basis Modelle Mietwagen (z.B. BMW 528, Mercedes E280) gefahren. Niemals ein echt US Muscle Car probiert auf die Autobahen.

I wurde die Wagen um 0200 Uhr auf ein freie/leer Autobahn gut aus probrieren.

Hier, in Amerika, schon auf 130 km/h ist meine fuhrerschein in Gefahr!

(PS: Ich habe mein 'nicht Duden Deutsch' von Fernsehen und Bild am Sonntag gelernt!)

thanks to write in my language and really you learnt it from TV an Newspaper.... very nice thanks again. So, to your question. Yes ,I drove the car but not 200Km/h cause it s new. I drove it max 170 (105mph) for a second and than about 100(65mph) outside city. The car feels great but the best I think is the exhaust sound and the sound of closing the doors, thats awesome!! Thats pure quality. Forget about to close a BMW 3 coupe door, thats really cheap!!! I love the new Mustang inside, outside, everything! Wombert, the stripe job is vinyl but I was not satisfied, so they did it again the right way. I gave them the measures of shelby striping from this homepage

and they made the typical mistake and don t look at the plan. Here you can see that the beginning of the hood-stripe is smaller than on the windshield how to do it on the roof and and and. Tomorrow I will send updated pics. The company who made the Job is TRIM LINE in Munich/Sendling. Now they know it how to do. The price? Give them a call.

To the diesel Plan, hmmm... I think every car is possible for a diesel engine, if it s not a Mustang! (Do you know, Jaguar is offering a Diesel in Europe!!) I prefer for the Mustang a nice V8. The bigger the better.

Sorry man, I speak pretty well, but almost never write in German, and it is very late. How much did you pay to fly your baby across the Atlantic, if you do not mind my asking, and how long did it take? I am weighing my options.

Art, lucky you, that you live beside a race track. The time to fly a car to europe is very easy..... 1 day, but... maybe the US customs have no time for you :angry: ....add 3 days and maybe the german customs will not see your car :angry: :angry: ..... add another 5 days and for example Ford will route your car to the wrong dealer :angry: :angry: :angry: add another 2 weeks. You think this is a funny story.... it isn t!!!! But than, when you see your baby live, you will forget everything The price range is big different from where you check in and where the destination is. (4k-10k)

No, dealing with Customs or the Zollamt is never funny, but they have always been nice to me. Cost is an issue, but if I can get on the low end (perhaps flying out of JFK, instead of California) that may be worth it next time.

$1,200 by ship X 2 months aggravation (29 Sep till ???) vs.
$4-6,000 by plane X 1 week aggravation

I am assuming I go to the factory, or a dealer in the vicinity, and drive to NY, and since I am exempt from German tax, I have my paperwork beforehand and spend only 3 days in the Cargo section of Frankfurt Int'l.

Are you saying the stripes get bigger as they go up the hood?
Isn't that they way they are supposed to be if you're copying a Shelby?
If they're not, would you mind measuring the width and the distance between the stripes.
Any way you could email me those pictures individually or post them seperately?
I love that combo on the '05. I have the same plans for mine and add some black wheels.
