Robert, You might want to check the fuel cut off switch. If someone bumped the car maybe it triggered.

Hey all,

this morning when I went to turn on my Stang, nothing happened and all I could hear was a slight "whirring" or "grinding" sound coming from the dashboard.

Why won't it start? Any ideas?
I had the same exact thing happen to me the other day including the odd sounds from the dash.
It turns out that from getting in and out, my feet had pushed the floor mat up under the pedal area and that was not allowing the clutch pedal to go all the way down, thus not engaging the clutch safety switch.
Slid the mat back and all is fine.

You wanna see copies of my x-rays? Ha ha. Yup, they confirmed it this morning. My right pinky toe is broken. Gonna go to the ortho on monday. Hope it doesn't interfere with my driving the Stang!

That's got to hurt real bad if your pinky toe is broken. and don't worry about not driving your Stang as long as your whole foot is not broken, you could be able to drive your car.

Be sure to punish your Mustang for being mischevious. Make sure it doesn't do it again

Hey, guys, for those asking for pics, here you go! Look at the far right meta-tarsal and you'll see the fracture. Cool, huh? So it's not actually the toe bones, but the one preceeding it.
