Now that her Stang is no more, is she allowed to drive Kermit or Sylvester? You're not stuck driving the Volvo now when ya'll go out together, are you? I say take seperate cars.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Our verbal pre-nuptial agreement does not grant her the priviledge.

It wasn't. The estimates' range was +/- $4,000

That tree didn't fall on your car, more like ATE it. I can only imagine opening the garage door and seing that scene in the drive way.

So how does that work, if the insurance company doesn't total it out? Did you sell it as-is? To whom?

I believe damages have to exceed 75% of the vehicle's value for it to be totaled. The insurance company paid me for the damages minus the deductible.

The dealer and I had been discussing a trade for two weeks and had reached a tentative agreement two hours before the tree fell. That is why I was about to wash, polish, and detail the car for the trade the following day.

I called them back to cancel the deal but the dealer offered to accept the car as it was and came up with numbers which were reasonable.

After I heard the ground shake I walked outside, glanced at the scenery for a few seconds, walked back inside, grabbed a Heineken, and said to my wife: Honey, would you put the car in the garage please?"

That's when I heard THE SCREAM.
