Mustang lost in transit
#1
I ordered a 2006 Mustang vert on Sept. 22, 2005. The car was built the week of 12/12, and then shipped via rail carrier on 12/28 with a 16 day delivery date. 16 days have come and gone but no car. I spoke with the dealer today and they have no idea where the car is?? He claims the owner of the dealership is now involved but they simply don't know what happened to the car. Has this ever happened to anyone? Is there really no way for Ford to track a car? I find that hard to believe.
Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

There must be a way to track it. I mean, geez... we can track a UPS package at every checkpoint, but not an entire car?

The problem is that Ford won't even consider trying to trace the car until it is a week after the eta. I had an Explorer with an ETA of 12/26 just show up yesterday and a Mustang with an ETA of 01/23 show up the day before.
Hang in there, it's coming.

Well after nearly 4 months (including 6 weeks in transit) my GT finally arrived! The dealer still can't explain the reason for the delay, but at this point who really cares. Here's a quick pic. Enjoy.
