It seems every time they have a mustang on the show (or on a DVD) they get at least one fact wrong. It always makes me so frustrated, because most veiwers would have no idea. I wonder if they get as much wrong about all the other cars and I just have no clue.

After watching the show I dont think they were really bashing the Shelby GT, I think they were showing that they could make an electric car go fast by comparing it to a fast car.

I still love the show though, can't wait for next season.

 

Thats a Shelby GT, that pos electric thing should win, it weighs 2 lbs with noone in it! Besides that, if that thing hit a shopping cart at more than 3mph it would disenagrate!

 

they've also said that Ford directly ported the Ford GT S/C 5.4L into the Ford Lightning...................... :-X

 

They must have borrowed that car from a guy in my town who has one identical to that car. He tells people it is a GT 500, he also wears so much cologne flies drop when he walks in a room. LOL

 

And if you have watched the show recently they have shown a "Shelby GT500" racing a 1800 lb plastic car on a road coarse and of coarse the mustang lost. I like the show but come on run a comparable car.

 

Top Gear is really funny. When reviewing the Mustang GT for the first time, they compared the live axle rear to a stage coach axle from a hundred years ago. And guess what, it's a funny comparison!

it was an HPI Savage. still cool, very similar. My actual opinion, i still love the show even if not for its truthiness. its much more entertaining and much better made than any other automobile program in the world

 

the funniest part is, the mustang throttled it to let it take the lead, the take off is the same, but yea..you can see it lol...all in good fun tho, doesnt bother me much with the 500hp qoute, i know what 600hp feel like so

 

I don't like the show, they try so hard to put down the Mustang, and they can't even get there facts straight. Puts a V6 against an actual horse and says it's a 300HP V8. Said the GT500 was supercharged 4.6, and I loved it when they put a GT against a Lotus Elise with the track pack, AND they put them on the short track because the Mustang would have caught the Lotus on the regular track.

It's a shame they go so far out of there way to make the car look bad because I think the show it funny.
