Is the Mustang getting taller?

It's all an optical thing apparently...just a difference in half an inch clearance.
Of course, extend that over the full length of the wheel well, and well ya gotta alot of optical illusion
So, it's either get bigger tires or lower the car a 1/2 inch

So we can either wait until the car is in our local showrooms (what we should do, but no fun) or start a campaign to document tire sizes and fender heights on all show car and mule encounters (more fun AND more dorky). I say, get out your tape measures! Any suggestions on what and where to measure?

Nice car(s) Kev!
Sure the silver one was lowered, but do you think the red one (with the bullitts) was lowered also? I think that the production stance (why would we expect any less than an LS stance?)

The stance will look fine. Ford is not about to make this ugly. They might not make it as low as they could to save for future GTs, SEs and SVTs, but, it won't be 4x4 either.

I think the red is the stock height too. I still think that Mineral Gray test mule is riding on smaller tires. And part of it also is the lighting, and how the shadows are playing tricks on your eyes. But either way, I think it's pretty safe to say that the car is gonna look right for production. I think I'm going to get some Eibach springs anyway. If I can lower the car an inch or two more for $250, why not?

It definitely needs 18s. Why do they make the wheel wells so large, especially after so much criticism of the 1999-2004 models? I can't think of any other car in the industry like that.

yes i have never played with any suspension related parts on cars. So the springs will lower your car? (ride height) ...and replacing the shocks give a better ride and also help taking off quickly correct? (assuming you buy racing shocks)... how is installation on springs... but looking at my car shocks look easy.. one bolt on each side on the shock...
