I have heard it said that when a woman gets "Baby Fever" she starts seeing babies everywhere. Not that they weren't there before, but now she notices them that much more.

Lately it has become that way for me with Mustangs. I'm so excited about getting my 05 that everyday, everywhere I go, there are Mustangs EVERYWHERE! All year models, different colors, etc. It's kinda driving me crazy.... It's not like I never noticed them before, after all I have been driving a Mustang since April 2000 and been a fan since way before then. It's just now, really, they're everywhere!

Is this happening to anyone else?

mmm...on occasion i'll have a dream about driving around in the car. and i do notice the mustangs a lot as well. i like to think, "i'll be able to take that guy. and i'll be able to take that guy." that sort of thing.

 

I counted over 150 mustangs on my trip from San Antone to Kansas City.

 

yep, its not rare when i see 5 or more on the same intersection.

 

I can't speak about the baby thing, but I do know that you are not alone in seeing Mustangs everywhere. My entire family has become that way. Car trips are pretty fun when we spot them. I am so bad that I try to get next to the Mustangs, especially the V8's - then I roll down my windows, and turn down my stereo to just hear the nice growl of their engines. This is a sickness I tell you ! :crazy:

In anticipation I am doing the same thing as ZERO. I frive around like "after I get my GT I'll beat you, you, definately you, civic......of course."

 

Seeing the babies or the mustangs?

 

As I see them everywhere as well, I try to pick out the differences in them all...visualizing what would look good on an 05. Hood scoop, wheels, etc. Then I realize that I should have mine in about 4-6 weeks. Can't wait! I don't know about Babies though!

That you never know,just like a guy i knew, he was backing up his Hemi '66 Bevedere when a lady coming from nowhere rammed into the car at around 40k, you can just imagine the guy, crying on the ground.....I knew him and he never was the same guy after....I lost track of him a few years back....

 

We've played the Mustang Spotting Game for years. It helps on long trips. Regular Mustangs are worth 1 point, Yellow ones are 3, Yellow verts are 5. Anything older than a '79 gets 7 points. (Classics are cool, and very few IIs are still on the road.) Original Mach 1s, Bosses, 66 verts, etc., we all lose count and drool. Create your own version for your family. And yes, I see Mustangs everywhere even more now, taunting me 'cause I don't have one. A disease called "stangaphilia".

 

I've got Mustang Fever so bad, I even notice the late model (94-04) models!

I saw one a couple of weeks ago just west of Detroit. I darn near went off the road at 80 mph. Peed my pants. Had a heart attack. Lost my breath. And couldn't thinks straight for 3 hours.
