Stang Ent Mag says in the current Mag that next months mag release date about 10/18/04 while have complete tests of the 05 which they have already done. The writer said he was impress but couldn't say more till next month. This month the mag had an excellent article on suspension setup.

I'm sure AutoWeek Mag will scope the 05'. Being their a weekly they seem to beat the other mags by a couple of weeks.

Mag reviews are coming in a week or two I'm sure subscribers will post them up a.s.a.p.

I can't wait. I'll probably buy every mag.

I personally cancelled my sub. to Mustang 5.0 -- nothing but ads -- and I mean the SAME ads every single month. (Lately they're sending me collection notices b/c I took their offer of one free issue and then didn't pay for the full year, lol...)

I'll stick with the un-biased Mustang mags like Automobile, Car & Driver, etc. I mean, what ARE the odds that "Mustang Enthusiast" and "Mustang 5.0" will love the 2005 Ford Mustang? Hmmm.... lol...

Thats funny, cuz the same thing happened to me. 5.0 & SF and MM&FF are just getting too carried away with the ads. Although every once in a while they have some cool specials (BTW, have you seen the new issue of Sexy Stangs?.... )

The only problem with those wine and cheese mags (motortrend, C&D, etc.) is that they have crappy comparisons of cars.

I stopped subscribing to Mustang 5.0 right after it was bought by Peterson Publishing. They screwed that magazine up the same way they screwed HotRod up. Half the magazine started being devoted to super high performance $100k+ vehicles built from stick frames. The only thing "Mustang" about these cars were the heavily massaged sheet metal. The original chassis was completely gone. How does that apply to me? How is that crap going to make my car any better?

I hear ya, dan. I've got a subscription to MT, but i'll prolly buy C&D and Road and Track as well. That's what i did back when those mags first featured the GT40, and C&D had the GT vs GT2 vs 360 comparo.
I'd also wanna check out what any european mags have to say about the new stang. I don't care what a mag like MM & FF will say, that's too easy. I wanna see if those europeans will admit to being impressed. I was checking a couple of those mags out (didn't buy 'em, not at 12$ a pop), they were comparing the GT40 to the Guallardo and 360 CS (chech out http://www.evo.co.uk/ for that one, its a nice mag), and it knocked their socks off. Good hearing it come from them.

Mustang Enthusiast is actually a pretty good mag...I've picked up several, and they seem to actually care about people who drive their Stangs daily.

Mustang Enthusiast is the best Stang mag out there. It has something for everyone from classics to restomods to 5.0 to current to '05 and future (SVT, etc.). Of course they will like the Mustang, but, so do we.

That's why I like it. Everyone else spends too much time talking about the track. Most Mustang owners drive their cars in heavy traffic every day, but like to open it up a little on an open road. On your way to and from work, look over at every Mustang driver and ask yourself if they look like the type that has ever been to a drag strip.

Dude, Can't Drive (C & D) is biased! They have a very obvious subtle hate for Ford! Anyone remeber NAIS 2004? They wouldn't even put up pictures of the new Mustang for several days after the show ended! Also, whenever they do a comparions they conviently leave out any domestics that could potentially score well.

Biased? All magazines are biased because all writers are biased--it's hard (and I'd wager impossible) to be an enthousiast and not be biased. That's one of the reasons I read them--it's that love/hate relationship I have with the writers. I've been reading MT for most of my life, longer than any other, despite the fact that some of their writers pi$$ me off more than anyone (except, perhaps, for those crazy Britons at Topgear). I've not read too many mustang specialty magazines, typically only those that my brother has laying around his house--MM & FF, --From what some have said on here, that's probably a good thing. My interest is in steetable cars, not $100,000 handbuilt racers.
