I've spoken with a few dealers about ordering a vert for some amount over invoice (trying for $500) and the ones I've talked to have told me that ford is backlogged on vert orders and therefore it makes no sence for them to charge me anythinig less than sticker. I've live in ct by the way.
Has anyone been told this also or do I just need to try harder to get a good deal?

 

Just like when the '05 coupes came out, there will be pent-up demand that needs to be met, I am sure dealers will be very tough on discounts and will be trying for MSRP or more. Keep trying different dealers, you may strike a good deal, otherwise, expect to wait until demand cools off a bit.

 

I think you just have to try harder, dealers are still charging over sticker on coupes, no reason to believe that would be any different on the vert.
