Ms Ford in Atlanta - today
#1
Just read this in the AM paper - had not heard anything before
Anyone know where this event is being held?
And if the general public (me) could "drop in"?
Thanks,
- Ray
Willing to give up a lunch hour . . .

Me too. I just finished reading the same article. I am going to give my local Ford dealership a call when they open to find out.
This is more than a little annoying due to the fact that I emailed Ford last week to find out when the 05 Mustang could be seen in Atlanta. They still haven't responded yet.

I just called the Team Ford by Northpoint Mall. Nobody there has any information. The person I talked to said that they were getting four in the end of August though. If it is true I hope one of them is the one I ordered.

"Elena A. Ford, director of Ford's North American product marketing, is to be in Atlanta today as part of a 40-city tour across the United States and Canada. She'll be touting the redesigned Mustang and outlining the company's strategy for selling more passenger cars."
Seems pretty odd to me to have anyone at this level within Ford come to Atlanta (I am assuming that 'touting' = help market the car) and not notify either the public or their dealers.

Confused - and clearly not qualified to work in (Ford) marketing . . .

He also told me that the salesperson I talked to this morning was wrong about the delivery date. It will mid-October before any cars start showing up.

When you say "mid-October before any cars start showing up" does that include ordered cars or just dealer purchased cars? I can't stand the wait. They keep pushing it back. Was hoping to have mine by mid-September but looks like I'll have to wait even longer.

Mine is ordered. Basically he said what alot of the forums are saying. Job 1 is Sept 7th. After that Ford will build up about a 4 week supply and then start shipping. That will make arrival in Atlanta mid-October.

Apparently the Mustang was available for viewing this morning from 5am to 9am in Midtown Atlanta this morning at the Hampton Inn. I have included the link to the article.

No, it is for dealers only, where the sales people, and managers go and learn all the info on up and coming vehicles. You get to drive them and watch videos, but you have to take a test at the end. The 05 Freestyle and the 05 Superduty will be there also. Should be a blast!!

I agree. I have seen you on here since May when I first started monitoring this forum for information. I also place my order the second week of June. I feel like I have been very patient. My excitement hit its peak early last month. Now I am just frustrated.
This is what my mom used to call "character building".
