Ahem. Thunderdome is the WORST Mad Max movie you could have quoted. By that movie they had lost all the street cars and were running around on jacked up dune buggies.
I made the same comment about the Mad Max styling when I first saw this a while back.

IMO, there were no bad Mad Max movies, now IF this had been in any relation to the Godfather III, that would be a different story.
