MP3 port on 2007 gt

MP3 port on 2007 gt

in the center console of my 2007 gt i have a mp3 port. is this new and can i hook my ipod up to it? my 05 didnt have this. ps i also have factory sirius.

Yes, that is an ipod hook up, you just need to supply the correct cable

This is a new feature on the '07's but I do believe there is a retrofit kit.

You just need a male-to-male 1/8" mini plug (3.5mm) cable. You can get one at Radio Shack.

A cable like this would be ideal because it's only 2 feet long and only $1.35.

I bought one of the cables from radio shack. But strangely only the driver's side speakers work. Any idea what could be wrong?

Did you purchase a mono cable instead of a stereo cable? If you did purchase a stereo cable make sure it is fully pushed in.

I got one from Amazon...6 feet long for $2.00 and some shipping. The good thing is, I loosened the two screws in the bottom of the console and ran the wire to the passenger side for my XM Roady. That way the arm rest lid won't damage the wire!

FYI - Jiggle with wire a bit, position seems to matter!

is their a retrofit for the 05's? This would def. be better an easier to use my blackjack instead of mp3 cds
