Well, I received a message from my dealer today and I will quote what he stated. "...we have the Ford rep here today and she said to her knowledge, the vehicles are being held there, at the plant, for quality control and they probably wouldn't be shipped out until sometime this month. She's thinking, she's not for sure though, but she was kind of thinking in the middle of the month. She was gonna try to get me an insight of when the exact ship out date was. I didn't want to leave you hangin or anything like that. I did get this information today and wanted to pass it on..."

Not to be alarming or anything. I can understand Ford being thorough with this, seeing how important this car is. Can anyone confirm this with another dealer or Factory rep? Mine was to be built the week of 9/20. I haven't talked to him yet to see if my order status has changed to schedule delivery. It's a waiting game.

I'm pretty excited that I got my power back on today (Hurricane Jeanne)!

When I spoke with my local dealer last week, he told me that they were told to look for them around the middle of October.

Late October on mine arriving still says my dealer, but also, why did they say "America, Your Mustang is Ready" if they didn't plan on releasing them very, very soon? I think it's just more of a precaution than anything else. I am as anxious as anybody for mine too. I was ready in 94 but was dissapointed with the style and waited, and waited, and waited. The 99 model came and I almost pulled the trigger again but now I am glad I waited

I just got an email from a dealer friend here in Georgia and he said they were getting ONE redfire V6 auto on 10/17. ONE? ONE! ONE?!? WTF.

Hope this is true but won't put much into it.

I am the Advertising Manager for two Ford dealerships in New England and have managed the inventory for one Ford store for 18 years now. I order all the new vehicle inventory and deal with the Ford factory rep's on a regular basis.

I called Ford OPC (Order Processing Center) this afternoon to check on status of the 2005 Mustang GT I ordered for myself... VIN #00648 that was built the first week of production. Ford OPC says the unit is scheduled to be shipped tomorrow.

Based on the earlier report regarding defective cylinder heads on V-8 Mustangs,
I'll believe it when I see confirmation.

Talked to my dealer a few days ago & he said December. I nearly lost my mind. I think he is trying to put me in the nut house. I told him I would call "him" when I had more information to give him & that I would keep him posted. He didn't think that was funny!!!! I guess I should be a little nicer to him as he holds my sanity in his hands
I really hope I don't have to wait until December. Please tell me he is wrong!!!!
