I drilled all of my holes. I don't want the ballasts moving or shifting around, that might shorten their life.
The 3M tape might work, but I don't know about the moisture/heat present in the engine compartment affecting the longevity of the tape.
I found there is plenty of room in the headlight buckets to mount the ballasts, so I recommend placing them there. They get plenty of airflow to keep them cool and minimal exposure to rain water.

I have factory HIDs, but I just got HID fogs as well - and my ballasts are just dangling/resting in medium sized nooks in the engine bay. Do you suppose I'd be able to mount my fog ballasts where your driving light ballasts are?

yea i had some extra duty 3M tape and worked great on the passenger side ballast which i mounted upside down right under the fender to the left of the headlight..
but the driver side i was going to mount it there too BUT would that in ANY way restrict airflow to the intake??

Hope this helps here are a couple of pics. of the ballast for the fog lights, on the passanger side I mounted the ballast behind the wiper fluid first I used 3M tape and then I used a zip tie to keep it from moving arund just to secure it. for the driver side its mounted in front of the CAI I need to turn it around so the wires are out of sight, again I used 3M and a zip tie. Once the headlight arrive I will mount them on the fender with 3M tape once I install I will post more pics.
