More From Steeda
I think the car looks great. The spoiler, I'd take it off, but it isn't the end of the world guys. The chin spoiler really makes the fogs look much more prominent (Oh yeah, vocabulary word
) and better. Good work Steeda
) and better. Good work Steeda
The car is the best fab I have seen so far but I agree, I would put a stock wing on the back and I would like the chin spoiler to curve back and under. I don't care for the lip and curving back would also shorten it a little and give it a more aggessive look. I'm still not sure about the hood...I do wish the factory would have put a 'functional' scoop on the car to begin with. I don't like putting fake spoilers and such on a car and this one just has the rising hood and doesn't make a bad look. Looking forward to see what else comes up on the aftermarket scene. Anyway, steeda = B+.
question...Steeda seems to be calling it just the "Q" on their website and everywhere else lists it as the "Q400" and another variation called the "Q400 R"
are there 3 different cars or just 2? meaning, is the "Q" and the "Q400" the same car and slightly different variations? also, is the picture in this thread photoshopped? the picture on Steeda's website not only has different wheels but the splitter has more yellow in it.

Well...there are only 2 versions: the Q400 and the Q400R. The Q400 is the street version and the "R" is the race version, which is not at all street legal and it has no A/C, rear seat, and has chassis and suspension upgrades as well as a more powerful motor. It is basically almost a racecar.

also, the wing looks a lot taller in the smaller photo from their website. those pics that brad posted have to photoshopped.

Why didn't SVT call the 03/04 Cobra the "Terminator" in all the press releases, like they do in the shop?
Its just a nickname around the shop...and yeah, Brad's pics do look like they are photochopped. Maybe the big kahuna himself could answer this? (pls. don't flame me) :worship:
The white one looks good but it should have the wing. All you old folks don't know what a ricer wing is. The wing on the Steeda is not a ricer wing. It looks very much in place on the rear of the car. I'm sure they'll have a spoiler delete option for you all aways.

i have a guy from fordpower.net that lives 4 miles from the steeda shop claiming the car still looks exactly like the picture on steeda's website because his friend saw it at a car show yesterday with the Cobra R Wing still intact and the yellow grille pieces still intact and the larger front splitter. he's claiming the pictures Brad posted are completly photoshopped. i just want some clarification of this and want to know exactly how these pictures surfaced. if they are a photoshop, i think that should have been stated in this thread.

The pictures were sent to me from Steeda.
Steeda has improved the car but the rear wing is still too much, ricer or not I don't like a big rear wing, a nice ducktail spoiler would be perfect. The front air dam is definitely an improvement over the previous edition and the wheels are sweet.
The hood has lots of potential. I kind of like the wheels. The rest i am not overly wild about, but i wouldn't call it ricey.
Wings like that one used to be put on aftermarket cars all the time, before "rice" even came on the scene. You guys need to remember the reason that the rice-boys even started putting wings like that on their cars, was to emulate real performance cars, like this Steeda.
So, while i am not a fan of the wing on the car (personally, i think the car looks best with no wing at all), i also don't have a problem with a real performance car having a large spoiler.
Also, i don't think it is the older guys who are yelling "rice" all the time. The older guys should remember the old fox body Saleen's and Steeda's, which had big wings too. Nobody called them "ricey" though, because there wasn't such a thing then. I think it is the younger guys who yell "rice" at every body kit or wing that isn't super under-stated. I may agree with their distaste of the over-done look, but they shouldn't call it "ricey" everytime.

but are they PS'd?
I was under the impression that the pics that Brad posted in this thread where from a different Steeda car (the Q400), than the pics that were previously shown (the Q400 R), so that means that steeda built 2 different cars, right?
