Still not a fan of any green car...

I'm more of a black car fan. Almost any black car I can like.

But green... That just doesn't say "MUSTANG" at all... (unless it's written on it, that it just whispers "MUSTANG")

Er... I bet Steve McQueen would have had something to say about Green not saying "MUSTANG"...

The Dark Highland Green Bullitt & the Lime Gold Shelby GT500s are real standouts to me: i'd take the new body in either color. If I buy in '05, Legend Lime it is. If I wait until '06, I have my fingers crossed for DH Green or Black Jade popping up as options...

I love that movie! Actually, I'm pretty sure he IS backing up here -- there are a couple of scenes (not necessarily in the main chase scene) where he overcooks it oversteering into a corner and needs to back up.

Besides, Steve's far too cool to look behind him to see who's chasing him. And considering the real cars in the movie hit speeds up to 120 mph, looking back would probably not be the smartest thing to do!

Also, the chase car in the main chase sequence is '68 Dodge Charger, not a Pontiac. If you haven't scene the movie - rent it. Every car nut should see it -- the chase scene set the standard for everythig that followed and is still one of the best uses of a car chase I've ever scene in a movie.

i just imagined how cowardly it would be if he was really looking back at the car chasing him. hes gotta be backing up. you're probably right.. who would look back during a chase that way.. it would be downright dangerous... he would atleast use the rear view..

2nded. The Car backed up once in the movie from understeering into a corner and once again to avoid hitting a motorcyle. I don't think Mc Queen did all the stunt driving in his stang. I belive there was also a second stunt driver for th emustang. BTW, there were two Bullit Mustangs. The first one did not survive the stunt work and was junked. The other one was sold.

If not all, I know he did MOST of it. That was one of the things I found so cool about him.

I agree. I've always hated green cars, but that looks really sweet...especially with the rocker panel stripes. I'll probably still go with Sonic Blue, but I can easily see why someone would choose Lime.
Same here

Darker green colors look ok, but not lime... When I think of lime, I think of the bright lights that are all over your computers...
