I was wondering if anyone else from this site is going to the Mobil One Challenge? The wife and I will be going to pick up some more goodies for the '05. This will be our 4th year in a row.

Maybe see ya there,
Bobby

Okay my fault, I just assumed that all Mustangers knew about Mobil One. Sorry.

Mobil One World Ford Challenge is an all Ford show consisting of drag racing, car shows, swap meets and most of the major Vendors will be there.

Dates: May 18-21 at Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis, MO.

The wife and I have gone the last 3 years. I am in no way connected to the show, just like it and like to spread the word around.

We have gotten several parts for our Mustangs in the last shows. Usually get a better price than the magazine prices and don't have to pay shipping and taxes.

Cernini is suppose to be there with there '05 C-500.

There are thousands of cars and people, good time for all.

And for those that like crazy drag racing, come watch the Outlaw Street class. They around 1,000 hp on a 10.5" tire and try to get it down the track! Usually a pretty interesting ride!

Hopefully we will be picking up quite a few parts for our '05 this year. We are not taking the car this year either. Will be taking the truck to haul all the parts back home!

I thought it would be nice to meet up some of you from here, maybe have dinner or drinks somewhere. I lived in the St. Louis for 2 1/2 years and know some of the area. I just left there this past October.

Take care,
Bobby

Just a Mustang nut!!!

Bobby,
I live 30 minutes from the raceway, but have never attended a WFC event before. Is it really worth $25 apiece just to get in? My wife and kid will bring it up to $75 total, and that won't get me food or presents for my car. It sounds really cool, but I'm having trouble with the admission prices. I can understand participant registration fees for the show or the races, but I just want to come in and see the cars, maybe buy a little something. What gives? BTW, do you think there may be Cobra replica manufacturers there? That is currently one of my big interests. What about aftermarket parts for the 05+? I'll consider the admission if you guys say it's worth it.

I can't beleive this isn't generating more interest. Is the event that worthless? It sure looks neat on the website. I drove by there on my way home from work today and the place was packed with car trailers. Someone was interested...
