Missing '05 Mustang!
#1
My 2005 GT was made in September around the 13th. The dealer was notified it was to arrive the week of 10/10. The week came and went. No car. As of today, no car. Calls to the factory, inquiries to customer service, etc. all show the car shipped to convoy now, but no delivery date. In fact, no one seems to know where the car really is to be located! One guy told us it was still in the parking lot at the plant. Excuse the whining, but this is not a good way for Ford to treat a customer. It has been my pleasure to have purchased many new Fords for over 30 years, including new Thunderbirds, an Escape and Explorer. So why can't the company deliver a car built over 6 weeks ago? It was in a "hold" you say.....well that depends on whom you talk to at Ford. Cars are being delivered that were ordered and built long after this one. I'm not going to run out and buy some other brand......this was just a fun acquisition to have an early new Mustang...........but I may well cancel my order at this point. My dealer, who has always been super, is just as disgusted as I am. Well, now I've blown off all this steam. I apologize for the whining, but Ford should apologize for some very sorry customer service.

Unfortunatley this is one of the risks involved with wanting the first handful of cars.
It is inevitable that mistakes would be made.
Would you rather wait a few more weeks to get your car or a sudden recall notice, or in an extreme case, have an unsafe car?

Same with my car man...sitting in the twilight zone next to yours...I hear ya!
It'll be over soon enough though...that's what I keep telling myself. And ours will be some of the most combed over cars that Ford releases I'd bet.

Just imagine how nice its gonan be to get that random call now, though.
I knoe that once mine arrives from the Twilight Zone, I'm going to cry. I already know I will cry after I hang up the phone , and after I see it, and after I drive it.
Its gonna be such a happy day. Right now, I could kill myself, but I must hold out.

I feel your pain. My car was processed on the first day the order bank opened, has been sitting in a parking lot for weeks, just so some dealers can get their cars they ordered in september at the same time. Apparently Ford Canada has an obligation to the dealers that all dealers will receive a mustang within 72 hours of the first dealer. This whole pre-order thing seems to be a bust.

I just got mine yesterday and the deler checked the "listing" that they get and it still said "TBD". Communication between ford and dealer is terrible. The cars that were put on "hold" are starting to be delivered (mine was supposed to be delivered on 10/2.) Dealer said that he was told this week or next. Mine did come this week after numerous others built after mine were delivered.... bet you a doughnut that you have it next week at the latest, and maybe even by the end of this week. Just be patient. Believe me, it's worth the wait.

Well, add me to this sinking ship! I know some here have heard my similiar sitiuation so I'll spare everyone the repitition. I'm just trying to keep myself from calling my dealer every day asking, "Where the heck is my car?" I've even gone to the extent of asking MTAS (David) to ask them where my car is when he visited this dealership (This was to joke around with my salesman). Waiting patiently!

Mine was also built around the same date with a low vin 1390. They should be at our dealerships soon. The problem with the eary build I'm told is they get burried in the lot.:bang: Keep the faith it's a wicked pissa car.

We have a unit in the same situation. We actually wrote the deal with the customer the first week of May and have a later unit arrive. We called our district rep who was told that it was "against the fence" and they were working their way back towards it. Seems the early units got trapped in the back and are basically buried.
