I had these on order and was anxious to get them. Once I saw the design change I called and cancelled my order. I've got the Steeda's on the way now.

Do these fit with a Saleen SC hood?

Here's the lastest from MWAG.

"Thanks to everyone for their patience. We are presently molding the new
shock tower covers. We will begin replacing the covers starting next
week. Our goal is for everyone to receive the new covers within a 3
week period. We will ship the covers on UPS and issue a call tag to
your email for the old shock tower covers. Please place this label on
the old covers and return to the UPS driver at time of delivery of the
new covers.
If you did not have a fit issue, please let us know and we will not send
new covers.
Thanks"

FYI- I've responded back asking why were going to have return the old ones after we were told we'd be allowed to keep them so long as we didn't try and sell them. Seems as if they used that as a stall tactic to keep our money while they went through the remolding process.

They came in today. I'm now going to have to get the caps as well, if I decide to keep these. Whats everyone think?

Nice, and it looks like a STB would be no problem with those. I bet caps can even be put over after STB installed.

A STB would be a problem for me due to the shaker scoop! But yes, looks like a non issue. I'm not finding anywhere to buy just the cap's, but have sent a email to Steeda to see what they have. Wasn't able to find it on there site though.

Man! I saw the MWAG tower covers in the magazine and really wanted to get them. I currently have the UPR covers but just like the Steeda cover, they don't cover enough. It still looks too unfinished there. I'm going to try to see if I can get the old style in tungsten with the 4.6 logo. I have an aftermarket hood, I'm hoping I have a little extra clearance. Hopefully they kept some old ones so I don't have to get the melted look. -Joe

Thanks for posting the Steeda caps.

Although they do look nice, I wish they covered the whole strut tower.

Yeah, Not sure if I'm going to keep them. Guess were going to have to hold out for a piece that covers the whole area. MWAG, doesn't seem to be getting it right? Do you really not test fit pieces prior to sending off to market?

I've called them numerous times to express everyones displeasure with the new look to no avail. They have no plans to tinker with lastest mold. I forsee them losing alot of money on this if infact everyone does start returning them. Maybe then they'll consider changing the mold.

Oh well atleast I tried.

With all the aftermarket parts avail, I can't believe that MWAG is the only company that makes a whole piece that covers the entire area. I was a at show this past weekend, and saw a guy whom had a Steeda piece that did cover the whole area, unlike the one I posted. It also had what looked like an extension to it, in which you could connect a STB. Anyone see this one? I have not been able to find it on their site though.

I recieved the same email yesterday. I also responded with conerns about the appearance and asked if I would be able to return the new ones if not completely satisfied. I don't want to but if they look really bad I will just stick with my UPR covers. Am awaiting a response from Midwest. Their stuff has been good but as you said, they might loose on this one. Too bad they didn't do a little more initial testing before releasing these. It would have saved everyone a lot of headaches.

Only if someone over there accidentally drops and cracks their latest mold.

Leo, thanks for trying, but it sounds like your suggestions have fallen upon deaf ears.

Could that be the ends of this strut tower brace with the bar removed?

Those Steeda covers really don't 'flow' in that engine bay... not enough other billet/chrome accessories to compliment them.

As a side note, I like that Jack siggy in close proximity of the Saleen S/C.

Just got a response from Midwest on returning the new ones if I don't like them. Hereis the email:

Gary,
If you do not like the new covers, you may return them. I think the new covers have a little more styling than the old. Some will like the style, while others won't.
Thanks

Gary wrote:
Bobbie,

Thank you for the update.
I do have a question however.
I have seen pictures of the new "test" pieces on The Mustang Source forums and a lot of people, myself included, are not really liking the appearance of them. I have also read that Dan has been informed of this and has stated that there will be no modifications to the appearance of the covers.
My question is, when the new covers arrive, if I am not completely satisfied with them will I be able to return them?
I REALLY liked the way the originals looked but the new ones look like they got melted or something. I am hoping I like them but if not I want to be able to return them.

Thank you for your time,
Gary

When I first saw pics of Steeda,I thought they covered the whole thing. Now I guess i'll wait for the new ones to arrive and see how they looked..And about returning the old ones..Are we supposed to wait at the door for the UPS guy?
