Metallic Fuel Filler Door a Factory Option

I just noticed on Ford's site that you can add a billet fuel filler door as a factory option for $135.

I would rather they hide the fuel door better. Take a stock fuel door, get rid of the finger hoop in the side so it sits flush with the body. Then give it a press and release catch or lock from the inside of the car.

I hate seeing that stupid finger thing stick out like that.

I agree. There are certain areas of the car to which I want to draw attention, and the fuel door is not one of them.

Yea i noticed they added that the other day. I also noticed they raised the base prices and they raised the fanblade and clearcoated bullit rims by $100.

My car had factory ordered tips. The service department held them in stock with the factory VIN label for my car on them. They are either dealer or customer installed. I put mine on myself.

I remember many cars where the fuel cap was hidden behind the rear license plate. Dressing up a fuel door is a rather strange phenomenon.
