Me 0-120mph not that exciting haha.

I thought I'd see if I would be able to take a vid of a run. One time I was able to duct tape my camera to the dash but it didn't want to stick this time so I had to hold it. D@mn hard to do lol. Not much to see but I made it more for the guys that wanted to hear my exhaust redlined.

It took from second 3-16 to go 0-110 which is about where I will trap in the quarter. I'm pretty happy about that considering,
1. I'm at about 3200 feet above sea level
2. I had to ease it into 1st quite a bit to keep traction
3. I didn't even heat the tires first
4. It was cold out
5. I couldn't shift 100% properly cause of holding a camera. I would think it would be pretty easy for me to get a 12.7 or lower with a proper launch and shifting. I'll find out as soon as my gtech pro shows up.

Thanks guys! I forgot to mention that my slicks are 28.8" so I could easily get away with 4:30's instead of 4:10's and also they were at full pressure.

I just got my g-tech so I'll do a few test runs tonight and let ya know!

What power adder are you using? Don't see one in your sig (unless I missed it). But the dyno numbers seem about a 75 shot high or something.

Hey that's not a dang bad idea! Thanks!

Oh I was able to play around with the g-tech a bit. With full tire pressure, no burn out, and dirty dusty @ss roads, the best I was able to cut was a 2 second 60" and a 5 second 0-60mph. The g force thing was something like .68.
I don't get the horsepower/tq readings on them. It takes it off 2nd gear. I tried to make it take off 3rd to get a comparison but I couldn't get it to work. :whoknows:

Edit: I gotta a lot of work to do before spring haha. I went out again and my best was a 1.98 60", 4.81 0-60mph and .90 g. I'm hoping lowering the pressure in the tires, doing a burnout and being on a prepped track will help cut that 1.98 60" down to a 1.7ish I HOPE. I also need to figure out where to adjust my pinion angle too. I really have no idea exactly where it should be except that the dif should nose down to kinda make a really spread out V shape with the d/s.

I tried stunts like this without a camera. I stop doing it when I came to the conclusion that this is dangerous.

I had a close call once. What happen was I took my car out in the middle of a country road where I never been before. I wanted to see I could get my car upto 150. Problem was when I was at about 90 and accelerating, the road bank for people turning right even though you could go straigt which I did. When I hit the bank my car went up in the air and the driver side of the car went up more. Next thing I know, I was swirving all over the place.

That would be why it was a stunt when you did it. I did it on a newly paved piece of road which I've been over numerous times including during full daylight so I know exactly what the layout is like. I would NEVER try to go fast on a piece of road I didn't know like the back of my hand. Also it was a full moon or close too so it was a lot brighter out than the video let on and I had made a speed limit pass just before that run to check it out.

I did a couple 1/4 mile runs. My best was 1.97 60", 4.79 0-60mph and .90 g. Only ran a 13.18. The track I'll be going to in spring is about 700 feet lower altitude so I'm hoping that along with tire prep, a prepped track, and a good run will get me around 12.7-12.8.

Did you hit the brakes or just let the car settle and then work it back to stability?

I made that mistake with my 91 (although ABS might mitigate it on newer cars). I hit a bump in the road and launched the rear into the air at around 90-100. Never having had a car with one end leaving terra firma before I paniced and tapped the brakes which instanty locked the rears. The rear came down and me and the car did our best imitation of a lighthouse as the rear danced back and forth.

I managed to gain control and straighten the car out, but it was an eye opener none the less.

On slightly less concerting is hiting the brakes hard and having the tires plant on a dip in the road, the extra force tends to make the car wander somewhat violently but is alot more managable.

bob, I do not remember hitting the brakes. I just remember the car did not land well and I went off both sides of the road. I just could not believe a bump I could barely see could send my car flying. Since, I am not an expert speedster, I will try to avoid driving like an idiot. When I drove back slowly over the bump, it seem to be about 3-4 feet high and 10 feet long.

2kanchoo, seems you were safe unlike me testing danger like a stupid idiot.
