I just got the new Stang. Didn't have the patience to wait for one on order, took what was available. Would have loved the GT but took V6 Automatic. Maybe in a few years will go for a Stang with a bigger engine.

Wondering:

I wan't to add things, sequential taillights, custom grill insert, new floor mats, want to completely replace headrests, and want embroidery on new headrests, want to add some of the external mods across back between taillights, want to add decals.

When you start doing things like this, and you're not that handy to do it yourself, where do you go? Dealership? Do the rest of you folks worry about warranty issues? Like if add ons might encourage rust in a spot? I see some of you have had multiple Stangs, how do the minor mods effect the resale.....does it hurt if not factory standard?

Mod your little heart out. But when you start customizing your car, and if you are worried about resale a few years down the line, try to do things that either can be reversed (by keeping the original parts) or things that can be completely taken off (like vinyl stripes/decals). When you modify your car, you take the risk of making it harder to sell... not necessarily hurting the value though. But just remember that you won't get back what you put into your mods when you sell. Maybe half if you are lucky. But since when was a new car an investment?

Edit: Oh, and as far as where to go for small mods like that. Do you have a brother, or is your dad around to help. If not, my advice is get yourself a handy boyfriend. Really, any guy (and many girls) should be able to wire up a sequential tail light assembly, or install a grille.
