I hate to hear that. Take it back and talk to a service manager.

This is definitely not the first time I have heard of a new Mustang losing traction during a 1-2 upshift in the wet...

The best mod you can make to a daily driver (in cold weather states) is to get winter tires. I live in NY & I use the Pirelli 210 Snowsports on my 05' GT. It really transforms the car. MUCH more confidence in foul weather. The softer compound is a must when the temps fall below 40 degrees or so. For sure, the best 500.00 bucks you can spend to keep your car safe & on the road. Dry performance is not that different than the Nero's either.

Imunz22, tell that to my idiot FWD driving co-workers who still think I have no ability to drive. The only two who have reserved judgement drive a V6 stang and a Corvette.

Raserx, definitely considering winter tires now.

Took the car back, they had another look at it and one guy who didn't work on the car the first time, but did the initial assessment and final test drive was stunned when i did a drive-by and demonstrated the brake noise. He said, and I agreed that it was barely audible with the windows up which is how he conducted the test. Now new wheel bearings, boot, and a new axle half-shaft are on order, hopefully to arrive by Monday.

The above mentioned repairs are complete and now I have my stang back! The shop has a lifetime warranty on their work and they used only Ford parts, so my factory warranty is still in full effect!

I really think it's the nero's that come on the 17' bullits.

EDIT

obviously not since the above poster is not using the stock wheels on the GT/CS. I am glad you car is fixed, and I wish everyone a safe and accident free future. We just got to be careful in the rain.

People coming from little 4 cylinder FWD cars into a Mustang GT just need to be careful in wet conditions and be gentle on the go pedal.

For folks who have been driving torquey RWD V8 cars and pickups, it might be natural to be careful, but for those who have not experienced large amounts of low end torque, watch out!
