Thought this was funny. Me? I'd still take the '05...and I have driven a Mach 1.

Someone posted a dyno run that showed the 2005 GT was comparable to the Mach1, but this guy is saying that the Mach1 pulls harder than the 05 GT.

I understand he might be a bit bias since he owns a Mach1 just as we might be bias since we own/love the 05, dyno runs generally don't lie, unless someone doctors them.

Seat of the pants is a very subjective thing. The Mach1 might very well feel like it pulls harder, yet be comparable to, or slightly under the 05 numbers wise.

Specially if he is going by driving seat of the pants feel when driving the 2005 and only riding in the 04 Mach1.

Ive noticed differances when drive/rideing in cars.

While driving you don't feel as much of the power, because you are in control. Kinda like how you can't tickle yourself. The driver presses the excelerator and in anticipation subconsiously prepares himself for the acceleration.

When rideing your are not in control, the vehicles action is unexpected. So when the driver romps down on the gas you feel it more because you were not expecting it.

If I was in the market for a new car I would easily get a new GT, they're just so sweet, but as it is now I wouldn't trade my Mach in for one.

Sounds fishy to me. I would think that the salesman would be happy at a chance to sell the 04. The 05's are selling like hotcakes and are not lasting long at the dealerships.
