Hi guys

Had my car since August 31st, got a little over 1,000 miles , all other speeds seem to be fine but when traveling between 67-70MPH in 5th gear I hear a low whirring noise sounding like its coming from under the car, if I take my foot off the gas the nose stops, but if I press it, it keeps happening till around 72MPH then stops again, makes no difference the road surface (my first thought) .... I just let it go thinking it was just the way the tranny is, but my wife keeps commenting on it, so im wondering am I alone? Is there an issue?

Does it do it in different gears? If it does it at the same *speed*, whether in 3rd, 4th, or 5th gear, then it is most likely a wheel balance problem, or a drivetrain issue from the tranny back--i.e. driveshaft or rear diff.

If it does it at the same rpm (e.g. 3,000), then it is most likely an engine vibe issue (bad motor mounts, accessory, etc...).

Nope doesnt do it in any other gear, only in 5th right around 67-70 MPH, I took it in today and they saiod they had to order something to do with the axel....back ordered of course....apparently because of customer noise complaints.
