I still love mine, im just feeling regret, his car seems superior to mine, mainly because he got exactly what was my dream car, so i guess thats why i feel the way i do, i see the car i obsessed over for like 1 year, next to the car i have, my car doesnt feel as nice (mainly because how others have treated the car, like how my brother scratched my front facia, and denies it), i guess because when i got my v6 i was planning on getting GT take offs, and i was like, well this is all i need, i dont need power and such, and i still havent gotten them yet, but a few of my friends poke fun at my v6 alot and its getting really discouraging, im having trouble thinking that, with all the parts that i am saving up to make mine look like a GT, and wheels, im just a few short of what i could have gotten ya know? o well, the jealousy of my fathers car will pass soon, and ill get back to saving up for GT take offs and when i get those, i think ill feel much better. Dont get my wrong, i still love my car, it just feels different being next to my dads car

I can understand the way you feel if the GT was your dream car. People are poking fun at you for owning a V6 huh? What do they drive? You sure they just aren't jealous you have a brand new sports car? I have a freind of mine who is obsessed with power. He tells me "No offense, but I would never buy a V6 mustang." and gives me the typical crap....what does he drive? A mazda sedan of some kind with a 4 cyl. They either jealous or , if they do have a "better" car than you than they are just trying to infinatley increase their nut size with their car. That is one thing that always pissed me off. Car fans who feel the need to belittle others because of the cars they like/have.

End of lecture:
Don't listen to those guys who make fun of you or your car. They think they are better, but are not. They eat, sleep, burp, and fart just as you do.

I agree with the above post. Be proud of what you have. I wanted a GT originally but could not afford it. I am still extreamly happy with my V6 and if/when I do sell it , will be for a special edition (mach 1/boss/???)

i have a v6, and i really feel bad for not getting a GT, my father just got a GT, and i couldnt because the 6k markup when i got mine the GT just seems so much more substantial, the interior is nicer, the wheels, i wanted a GT originally, and was expecting to be getting one, but i guess thats why i feel like i do. I still love my v6, i just feel that i should have waited, and saved up for a used one.

Interiors are identical, just depends on options. V6s with the ICAP get GT bolstered seats as well.

98% of 05 V6's are rentals. Dealers can buy them online, we just got another 4.

my dad has iup (one thing i really wanted) and the GT has the leather door panels (is that iup or gt?) either way, it looks nicer, he thinks the iup dashboard looks cheap tho

I'm seeing used Gt's and V6's here in Jacksonville, FL. There was a car sale this weekend and they had a used GT at 28,000. I'm not sure of the miles but the price seems high for a used car either way.

I get crap for having a v6 from a buddy of mine.....
He drives a HONDA ELEMENT

I am one of the like 3 people here who set out for a six, and got one. And I still love her like it was the day I drove her home. Call me odd, but GT envy never struck me.

In Connecticut here. .....Probably a bunch of beat on rental V6's for sale there. The demand for the GT is still great enough to result in a lack of inventory of used GT inventory here. Most of the V6 owners I have seen around here are very happy with the V6's. Here in CT there are hardly any used V6 models and no GT's on the dealers lots. There are a limited supply of new V'6's and only seen a couple new GT's on the lots.

Go check bargainnews.com

There are plenty of used V6s for sale.

There are some used 05 GT's but the asking prices are insane. Most of the used GTs are low mileage and listed by dealers with ridiculously high asking prices. Probably the dealer's owner's kid's car that they're now trying to unload.

There are lots of new 06 GT autos now available at dealers, but only auto trannies. Manual trannie GTs are still hard to come by.

Had a dealer last week try and sell me a used 05 GT Premium w/ 1200 miles for $31995. I asked them what they were smoking? They got kinda offended when I laughed at them.

EXACTLY -

go for what is right for you -

to the naysayers -

V6 ers are no slouches - 4.0L as compared to the GT 4.6L - and a bit lighter - got friends with V6 manuals that can run circles around those watcha-ma-call-its BMW things ---

here in H-Town ppl are doing great things to the V6 - like Vortech kits with intercoolers and suspension to put 380 rwhp - nothing to be ashamed of at all ---- they will get past my Roush on the street --

and yes - one can get the IUP package for the V6 with the Leather and the interior looks exactly like the GT's.....

That makes me stranger still...........Brad said the first truckload was coming my way- I set out immediately, I fell in love, I bought a couple weeks later after two other people failed to finance her.

I intend to do no performance mods on my mustang. I use her for pleasure only, I don't need crazy HP.

The only exterior mods I plan are MRT louvers- but I do not have the $$$$ right now.

There was a small flood of red 05s being traded in on 06es down by me though. Don't ask me why they have all been red- I dunno.

Seen a number of used V6's sitting on the lots here, can only recall 3 '05 GT's (all manual) at around $24k~$27k - all sold within a week. Private seller asking around $28k for '05 GT, doubt it was sold. Ad ran for over a month. Don't even want to think what that one was originally sold for... No 'verts as of yet.
