lost s197 mustang
i was looking on motortrend.com the other day and came across this mustang drawing...the article reads it is the new 2004 mustang and is built on the new dew platform and is called the s197 mustang....what happened to it?? this mustang look phat, and how come it was replaced with the current '05 s197?anybody know?? any more pictuers?
That was just a concept drawing done by a motortrend staffer. That was what they conceived it would be like if it evolved from the current body style, prior to talk about going retro. I remember seeing this when I was a junior in hs, 3-4 years ago...

I wonder how that would sound... [/b][/quote]Yeah - I saw the dual-dual exhaust and though "How did the editors miss THAT huge goofup?!"
I like the '05 iteration better than the one from M/T. Their version is just a freshened up (and fattened up) version of the previous model. The '05 looks great!

if you mean "phat" as in fat and ugly and hideous, then i agree.

so true
Although I really didn't like the current Mustang um... till I preordered it... I think after seeing my first 2005 Vette' on the street today that the Mustang will really stand out since it DOESN'T look like anything else on the road today. I still feel the new Corvette looks too similar in the front to the Viper. The new Stang will definitely look good parked next to other Hondas, Chevys and whatever else.

My favorite concept sketch from a mag has to be the blue retro one done a few years before the real concept was unveiled. Somebody have a pic to back me up?
