Deryn,
I just got the information about 20 minutes ago that your Mustang was submitted to the assembly plant. When they submit the order to the plant a VIN is created. Your car will be #1ZVHT82H455103635. I will keep you informed.
Ron
So, If they do 1100 a day; Mine will be done about 1/3 through the 4th day.

Are we saying that each shift will build 550 per day? That will give us the 1100 per day with two shifts.
Ok, that means mine will be built on day 2 (Sept. 8 2004) just before the shift change.

That means your car will be built right when the first shift wants to go home.
Do you do your best work right before your day ends??? wouldn't want that one!

It kind of bums me out when I think how factory the car really is, almost like a cookie cutter car every one is stamped and conveniently designed for fast production, but again I understang that fords assembly line made cars cheaper and more availible to the masses. Just wonder if I will ever have a car that was hand made and cared for like a classic hotrod being built from the ground up by the hands of the metal artists and engineers. this way your VIN would be "VIN#000000000000001"
