Locking Lug Nuts - Where to buy, what type?
What do you all recommend for locking lug nuts? McGard? If so, what part # / size do I need? Are these stainless / corrosion resistant? Should they be torqued to the same 90-96 ft-lb or so as the stock lug nuts?
FYI, I have the stock 17" painted Bullitt wheels on my GT.

Ok, it looks like McGard 24130 is what I need. They offered a 0.20" longer lug for some 2008 wheels. I just have the base 17" painted Bullitts. Is this what everyone else used? They're only $16 from Amazon vs $20+ elsewhere and $33-$40 for the "Ford" McGard lugnuts.
I just want to slow down anyone that is trying to steal my stock Bullitts. Yes they could use liquid nitrogen or something to break them, but they can also steal your car since PATS can be disabled within 60 seconds by a pro.

Check out American Muscle. I bought my black Gorilla locking lugs from them to match my Shelby rims. Good price and quick shipping. Just make sure you keep the key inside the car! After waiting for weeks to drop my car off for a gear install, I had the owner call to say I forgot to leave the lug key. Rather than rescheduling, I told them to break the lugs off and do the gear swap - I learned the hard way.

BTW I installed them on the Stang. They look almost exactly like the stock lugnuts, except shinier! They don't appear to "stick out". My only complaint is that the key is made of some cheap metal with a low yield strength. I already see marks on the key that indicate where the contact points are on the lugnuts. I torqued them to 96 ft-lb and will re-torque them once I drive 500+ miles.
They look really good though, and I sort of wish the other lugnuts were just as shiny.

That's why i don't like the Mcguard brand and will only buy the Gorilla brand it has it's own socket that is the key. Much better design and it is easy to get it lined up on the lock.

Which Gorilla locks did you buy? I saw that they had 3 types, 2 of which had the lock slots on the outside and one that had the locks surrounded by a spinning shield.

My buddies who tow for AAA say the shield is a PIA.
It is a lot easier to clamp the big ole vice grips on the outside slots without 'em.
Then ya just whack the grips with a big hammer and they come off pretty easy.
That's why the Mcgards aren't on the outside.
If you get the Gorillas, get the shielded ones.
