First of they had a Torch Red 05' in the showroom, no pics. Nothing any body hasn't seen already.
But some really quick info:
1) Saleen had a display there, and a few reps. I asked them a few questions and this is all I got out of them, THEY WILL be showing the 05' Saleen at next weekends big car show in Irvine, CA as noted in a previous thread. The rep I talked to said he was unsure how they were going to show it, but the last he heard is that it would most probably be in one of their S7 assembly rooms behind glass, or in a chained off area, where you won't be able to get close to it, and of course no cameras of any kind will be allowed in that area. He mentioned it may be very quick as it was really just a sneak peek for Saleen fans NOT an unveiling. The car is supposed to be unveiled at the Anaheim car show, I believe in October or November.
2) They will be offering a base engined car and a supercharged car right off the bat, and that Saleen's Job 1 is scheduled for November 1st. They are getting there first alotment of cars the same time the dealers do.
Apparently they are putting the final touches on the car right now, because he said there were some small details they still needed to finish.
This next bit of info I did not get from a rep directly, but overheard from 2 reps talking in the Saleen display: It went Something like Steve Saleen wanted stay as close as possible to the retro styling as far as the interior was concerned, so they won't be offering the typical white faced gauges as they've done in the past, that's it.
Almost forgot, One of the senior members of the Orange County Mustang Club got on the PA system, and said that while most dealers will be marking the 05's up about $5000, that Rancho Santa Margherita Ford in So Cal will be selling their cars at MSRP!!

Yeah I have talked to about 5 dealers in southern calif and they all said they will be marking their prices up. One manager told me that almost all of the southern calif dealers will be doing this.

And sadly enough people will buy them. Personally I'm waiting to see what's available in 2006.

Many here are getting their stang for invoice + $500.

I wonder if the "sneak peak" of the new Saleen Mustang might be limited to Saleen Dealers from around the country and current Saleen owners. Just a hunch, particularly since a post in another thread mentioned that someone from a Saleen Dealership would be attending the Saleen show to see the car.
