I'll be seeing the 05 Stang Wednesday. Everyone list questions for me to ask and I'll do my best. I want GOOD QUESTIONS, not the typical crap about special editions, when will the cobra be out, etc etc etc that has already been debated a thousand times already.

My #1 question will be about the wheels. Specifically what the bolt pattern is so I can shop for aftermarkets now. It's up in the air now whether we can use our old stang wheels or not.

Remember, only questions specific to the 05 V6 and GT

When will the 18" wheel option become available?

What year is the first special edition expected to debut?

Will the Shaker 500 have CD Changer/MP3 capability? (i think the answer is yes...probably not a good question)

How ergonomic is the manual shifter? (placement, distance from driver's seat, etc)

Where are the My Color controls?

Is Sonic Blue really Blue and Sonic?

We have answers to those questions already.

1. Yes

2. People who've sat in it say its in a much better position. You can also shift with your arm on the arm rest.

3. Dial (i forget where though)

4. Com'on, its the same sonic blue for the last few years. Take a look at pics or go to a dealership???

Is the design of the throwout bearing in the 3650 transmission that same as the current one? Said another way, we will continue to contend with throwout bearings that wear out early because of continual rotation and engagement with the pressure plate?

Not a dial Dan-o, the top left on the audio system, with the IUP/Message Center option added has these buttons added with it. These buttons, im 98% sure, control the MyColor setup.

Make that 100%. I saw them use it when I saw the Stang in person.

I have heard conflicting reports on the shifter, and the sonic blue question was a brain fart (don't take me too seriously )

Oh and thanks for the answer on the Shaker

MYCOLOUR is setup in the info center, using the buttons above.
There IS no dial for changing colours, its all done in the infocenter.
THis has been confirmed by a member who saw a rep doing it.

YES ALL STEREO OPTIONS PLAY MP3s (Base, Shaker500, Shaker1000)
(also documented)

Sonic blue, is INDEED the same sonic blue.

It was just a menu system. Apparently the six preset colors are very easy to change (I watched him go through several of them lickety split), but the other 119(?) colors are a bit harder to get to...not impossible, but not as intuitive.

I would imagine that the buttons control different parts of the R G B LED set up, 120 different color configs, i can imagine seeing on the Message Center Red: 15, flashing, and pressing a button will change it to 16, like setting your VCR or something Steveo explain if you've seen it, and dang you for withholding info :nono:

My bad. The misinformation stuck in my head I guess.

Ford already said that the Cobra will be out in summer 06. I'll ask though about a BOSS or whatever.

Thread police: good cop, bad cop, i can play it all!

Dustin, to clarify for burningman, the early pictures of the production Mustang has the opening on the front of the car with body colored thin bars. Lately, the picture we've seen has that area blacked out, painted black, to seem more of a gap, rather than the body. Is this sticking through production, or will the car on the lots have the body colored bars?
