Where did you get it?
I purchased them locally from a sign company. The owner made them up for me. I haven't had any problems with melting or shifting of the decal.
The stuff they use is also used on go-kart motors. He said it'll stay where it's put.

Or Gold to match the stripes?

I may go with the mid west intake cover, but in std. silver and black on the ribs and GT and Black powered by ford on the sides.

Your suggestions please.
Maybe something like this?
On both covers though and with the stripe te same as the colors on your car.

Any company out there selling painted valve covers where you can send yours in after removal for a core charge refund?

There was a pic in that thread you just posted a while back (not there now) of black covers with ford racing with flame colors.

Anyone remember that one?

Well got em off, what a PITA is the passenger side. The driver is not that bad. Using Simple Green and magic eraser to get it cleaned up.

Here are a couple pics of mine. Powder coated locally in a silver metallic clearcoat similar to the factory '96-'04 Cobra 4V covers.

Ok Stupid question. When I pulled the cam covers off, The gasket stayed on the engine block. I would assume i need to put them back in the groove in the cam cover for re install????

Thanks

If it's not too late, yes the gasket needs to go back in the grove on the cover for the instal. I took the gasket off the head to do this. I just used a razor blade to cut that little "blob" of rubber where the gasked is attatched to the head, and put the gasket in the grove on the cam cover. Makes the install a lot easier, since you know for sure the gasket is in the grove before popping the cover back on. As opposed to trying to get the gasket to stay in place, maneuvering the cover over it, and hope it seats in the grove while pressing it down while maneuvering around ingnition wires, battery trays, oil dip stick lines, etc. It's hard to tell if you do it that way if the gasket is pinched somewhere, but I suppose it's possible.

The gasket sealed back at the little cut, no leaks. Then again, it is a clean cut with razor and it's gasket on gasket material, so it should seal even better than a gasket on metal.

Pics soon to come on my "in expensive" painted cam covers. Looks good, but easy to scratch.

Pics in a bit.
