Length of time since you last drove your pony?
It's been about eight hours, but only because I've been at work. I'll be back in it again within the half hour.
I don't know how some of you guys do it. I mean, I understand the pain we all feel seeing our Mustangs covered in salt, but I simply can not imagine going that many months without driving my car. Sure, it sucks sometimes using it as a daily driver in the winter, but for every day I spend driving through snow and salt, there are quite a few dry, salt free days where it isn't much different from driving in summer, except the windows are up.
Car seems to pull a lot harder in the cold weather, too. And most snow falls are a non-issue with the snow tires. I'm usually more worried about a four wheel drive SUV rear ending me because they are too stupid to realize that four wheel drive doesn't help when you're trying to stop. But that kind of stuff happens in the summer, too.
I suppose I could understand if you plan on keeping your car forever or if its a show car only, but I knew all along I'd be selling it and getting a new Mustang within 5 or 6 years, so a little salt wasn't going to stop me. I just can't imagine cheating myself out of so many miles of driving pleasure.
But, I can't lie, I do get sad sometimes seeing my car sitting there with a layer of salt. You guys just have more patience than me I guess!

I hate not driving the cars, but hate worse what salt can do to them- and what a mess it can be to repair. heres my favorite pic of why I hate salt- every time I miss driving my mustang, i can just picture this and what it took to fix our 65 Galaxie and... well, if the old windstar gets much worse It can go away, but I'd rather not have to see the mustangs looking nasty underneath...still got a rusty 69 fastback to redo- it wont be nearly as bad as the Gal was, but still, rust just sucks...
I'm with JGT. I love my mustang more than any other car I've owned... so that's why I can't possibly put it in the garage and let it sit for weeks let alone months. I know guys who don't drive their stangs in any sort of precipitation, if it threatens rain, or if the roads MIGHT be wet. I applaud and appreciate their will power - something I have none of when it comes to this car.
I know my car is getting damaged, and that's why my plan is to save up and buy new everything that is rusted when this car is finally retired. Expensive? You betcha, but deciding not to drive this car is a far higher cost in my eyes. You only live once and all that.
With that said... I just got done an awesome midnight drive. So... 10 minutes ago.

Last weekend for our monthly meet. During the winter, that's often the only time I drive it and, even then, if there's snow I'll take the DD

I went through the "storing a car while still making payments" option. Funk that! Mustangs are meant to be driven!
Please drive your mustangs in the snow! I know it is easy for me to say here in California . . .. . but my 05 S197 spent 2 winters going thru slush/snow/salt in michigan . . . . . .with modern galvinized steel, electrocoating, and great Ford Engineering . . . .. . . the S197 shouldnt see anything more than a light coat of "red rust" on the underbody suspension/drive/exhaust parts . . . . .. but imagine all the fun you are having!
That said I will enjoy my typical February California Saturday . . . .. .should I take the 01 Bullitt out in the sun or the 05 GT????? Decisions! Darn . . . .. . its cold (60 degrees . . . .I am going to need a jacket)

couple questions- the car bag- does it have a blower to keep it pressurized, or is it sealed tight enough to hold air? just curious- pretty neat...
also, now high is that polebarn? looks pretty huge
we put up a bigger garage a couple years back, went 11 feet high, in hindsight shoulda went 12~13...the van on the lift will hit the ceiling
