Leather or cloth?
#62
Anyone on this thread have a pix of white/blue interior chop. I'm looking for white in the middle and blue on the outside. I have blue in the middle with both black and white. But now white in the middle, it's driving me nuts, and I've got two months to think about it........thanks, and sorry if this is posted on multiple threads.......

Dark Charcoal Leather GT.
I've had dark leather on my last two cars and loved it. Not sure of the effects of severe cold but I have lived in both Florida and Texas for the past 12 years and never had a problem with the heat. Might be a little warm at times but nothing to cry about. Leather will last if you condition it properly.

I do too. I wish it came with the V6.

I ordered the dark charcoal leather for my pony. It's the first time I had leather in a Mustang. I have no problem whatsoever with the cloth interior though. My other three Mustangs had cloth and I always found it to be soft, durable and comfortable. However, I have also had other cars with leather and I liked them quite a bit, so I decided to try the leather in the '05 GT. So far, I'm very pleased with it, regardless of the fact that the back seats are faux leather.
I also like the running ponies in the cloth seat pattern, and the MUSTANG script in the other version. It's nice that the interior is model-specific!

Your not the only one. I got cloth. Our legs cook on the seat
down here in South Texas. Im sure some people can endure that but
I dont care for it. If it wasnt for that I would have ordered the leather.

I have the cloth interior, but I was planning on upgrading to leather. Initially, I was to have had a Katzkin kit installed, but I found a set of OEM dark charcoal covers (just like I originally wanted).
Do the Katzkins have any advantages over the OEM covers? I really like the look of the latter--are any pictures of the Katzkins available? I need to make a decision soon!

Everyone I've talked to says Katzkin is better than OEM (thicker, more durable, etc). But I guess that is just a matter of opinion? I'm very happy with mine, and I've got white. But, I also am not in my car alot. So I might not be the best daily driver.........

Ordered mine with Dark Charcoal Leather.
Get the windows tinted and cover the front windshield, keeps the heat down. I don't see a problem with it.

Love the ponys on GT cloth.

I wanted the Pony Pattern too.
I was recently looking at older cheap beater cars and from my observations cloth seems to hold up better. These were usually high mileage Saturns, Escorts and the like. Even with 180K miles in SUNNY CA the upholstery looked good. Leather always gets "character" lines (like me LOL) no matter how well it's taken care of. And they are more slippery. I've had leather in my last couple of cars. It does seem more high line, I don't think you can't even get cloth in a new Lincoln anymore.
But leather looks kind of bland w/o any perforations or sew patterns....not pertaining to the new Mustang, either look good.

Mine came with cloth, but I upgraded to red leather... That red leather just looks so sweet in this car! If I wouldn't have wanted the red leather so much, I probably would have stuck with the cloth, cause it was very nice. Much better than the 2001 Mustang cloth seats I had in my previous car...

My 99 had the leather, and I loved it... so, I went with it again.

My 99 also had the leather and the Shelby will come with it. I prefer the leather as well. It is easier to keep clean, if I work out I don't have to worry as much about putting a towel over the seat like I would with cloth, and when I wear my service uniform it keeps lint off it. Those that are or were in the service will probably be able to identify with that.
