Theft is not possible. KITT would recognize the theft and shut down. It would the call police and detain the driver and secure itself. It would have talked the thief out of stealing it in the first place!

why wouldnt u steal it? it was the normal (kr) version not the attack mode

The normal version though is not a KR but a KR clone from a standard GT.

And I would never want to steal anything, even if it was a KR, stealing is wrong.

I sat in the KITT car a few weeks ago. The "keepers of the car" said it was a real KR VIN. Others used in the show for stunts may be GT's, but atleast one of the cars is supposidly real. I don't know for sure, just what I was told.
