They are nice but even though they are the same size rim, they look smaller on the car than the upgrade wheels you have.

I like mine but, I found this at a dealership today, they sure do look sharp!

If the rest of the car screams "retro" why choose the alternate wheels? Hey bud, you can always swap them out with someone who prefers your rims... you still have options!

The after market should follow up with a 17 x 9 Bullitt wheel for the '05s. That might also look good, specially if the one with black spokes is produced.

PLEASE
someone tell me what FORD was smoking or thinking when they decided to make those rims upgrades, or even use them on the venerable mustang. I saw an F-150s rims, which looked similar to the optionals. In my opinion those rims belong on a truck or taurus: Period. The bullitts suit the stang well. Now you want to talk about upgrades, look at the 2006 fan blades that ford will start using, now that's what i call an upgrade rim. FOrd could have used the 04 Mach 1 rims as an optional because those are retro to the original Mach, just look at the pics. What the heck are those "optional" rims retro to. And please don't tell me that they don't have to be retro rims, fine. OK. I see those optional rims as a big mistake on FOrd end :nono: The kind of mistake they made in making a 120plus color config. instrumentation. that is screaming to have problems. Kind of like when ford introduced the electronic instrumentation in the 1987 T-birds. Big Mistake.

I like the Bullitts best myself and have them on my Black GT.....
If I remember right, the optional wheels were an attempt to reproduce the wheels that were on the two concept cars shown at auto shows in 2003.
As for the fanblade 18s, that was the direction they were originally going as standard equipment on the car (Tai Tang was quoted as saying he wanted 18s on the car) but to stay within the tight budget they had, and to keep the cost of the car down, they went with the two versions of the 17 inch wheels.

I hope ford drops the concept rims in 06, I think most people agree that the bullits look much better and the concept rims aren't "retro" at all. When I go to a dealer I want to see more GT's with bullits, all I've been seeing is the concept rims!

My goodness gracious those upgrade rims are really big DOWNgrade rims in my opinion .. They belong on a base camry or a basic accord package ..
The bullitts are so much better looking it's not even funny .. The difference is even greater than night and day IMO ..

The Bullitt wheels are unlike any wheel being offered by any other manufactuer. That, in itself, sets the Mustang apart from other cars. They're a welcome change from the ordinary! Best of all, they don't cost anything extra.
