Kenne Bell installed. Does yours compare?

Finishes my Kenne Bell 2.6 install last weekend. Evrything went extremely well. Have driven it around for tests and everything seems to be fantastic! Only thing that gives me a little concern is that the factory temp gauhge stays in the middle and I don't see a huge drop in coolant level from the resevoir. The top heater hoses are hot but the bottom one is cool to the touch. I had it out for at least 40 minutes tonight. The air temps are around 70. Does everyone have the same experience with the kenne Bell's that are intercooled? I have taken the thermostat back out to double check that it was incorreclty and I also tested it via a pan of hot water and a temp gauge. Just checkin to see if others experiences are the same?

And a dyno plot might be nice too.

ashfope,

If my memory is correct, the factory temp gauage will be in the normal range when ever the computer thinks the temp is normal. It does NOT give a linear 1:1 reading of the temp. So, instead of giving you a 120-240 degree range, it sort of only has cool:good:hot ranges. If you want to see the actual coolant temp, you are going to have to hook up your calibrator and datalog the temp data. Yes, it's a pain.

Of course, I could be wrong too...

You are right!! Once the temps reach around 180, the gauge will read normal and not budge until they get over a certain amount...like 230 or something. So from 180-230 the gauge reads the same.
