I think the point here is that an unscrupulous dealer would probably do everything in their power to attempt to prove that major mods were the cause of your problem - whatever it may be.

If people here are reporting simple warranty and maintenance issues BEFORE any mods, imagine how badly certain dealerships may try to screw you if you've done mods and happen to need any major service within the warranty period.

Like someone above said: It all comes down to forming a close relationship with a dealership you can trust. You might then want to ask them ahead of time about mods and how they impact warranty.

and yes, a supercharger could void the warranty on the transmission, rear axle, a whole bunch of other things... undue stress on factory parts. It's not hard for them to prove it, just because you somehow think that throwing a supercharger on won't affect it, in the big picture it affects the entire car. Which is exactly why other then an intake and new exhaust I'm staying away from supercharging until the warranty is null and void.
