I was just watching Inside Edition and they where talking about Jay Leno announcing his retirement from the Tonight Show. They tried to catch him outside the studio for a comment and they showed him driving off in a red 05 Mustang GT.

It sounded great!

Maybe it was a "Free With Purchase" gift to go with his Ford GT.

He also recently ordered a Porche Carrera GT and a Mclaren(sp?) Mercedes SLR. I read an article recently where they asked what he thought of his trio of new super cars/toys. He had some good things to say about the GT. Maybe Ford will have him do some publicity for the new Stang.

I guarantee he'll also have the REAL GT very soon if not already as well. Jay's a big car guy has tons of them as probably most of you know. I suspected all along he'd be one of the first with the GT, but didn't think he'd really go for the Mustang.

According to the article I read he allready has his GT.

The thing I couldn't believe was Porsche gave him a "loaner" Carrera GT while he waits on the one he ordered!

I think Leno got the first GT that Ford would sell to general public which was actually the second full production GTm

Jay's garage is probably where I8URVTECH's stang went when his dealer told him there was no order status. lol Cuz obviously Jay didn't have to 'reserve' his.

I've known that he has about a million cars for quite some time, but always wondered how he goes about insurance? Having insurance on ALL of those cars and bikes would just be a ridiculous amount of $$$ even for Leno I think

He's retiring? Anyway, I hate him even more now. First he won't shut up about Bush and now he's got an 05.

Well he worked auction that sold the first production Ford GT for 500K. The only thing he asked Ford for in return is to get one for retail price, since hes been wanting a GT40 for ages now.

I guess he does have some connections with Ford, so they made sure he got one of the first ones....good PR for them.

Don't you think Ford would be nice to you if you spent $140k + on a car? Jay Leno's publicitiy is GREAT for Ford. Don't complain about it.

I don't like his anti-Bush jokes either, but he's a comedian, what do you expect? They rip on conservatives constantly .. they're part of the media.
