yeah well, my car is being build the week of 1/3 WITH IUP. So I would call around & ask other dealers what the real deal is. There was a guy just today ordered his car with IUP. Maybe your dealer changed it to get you car in. Sounds weird to me. JMO.

Good luck with whatever you get out of it.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE

Wow, man...that blows!

I thought these IUP issues were straightened out. A delay is understandable, but why would they still be altering orders?

I was planning on placing my order (with IUP) on Thursday with a refundable deposit in writing. I sure hope this is a screw-up and not still Ford's policy.

Any ideas what you're gonna do? What are your options?

I'd be adamant about getting the 18G. That's what you want, not the 18R. Something sounds screwy on the dealer end, like he wants an early sale or something.

I agree with ghostTX ,mine is being built with IUP .....it's just a parts shortage .
If you wanted your car sooner then you would change 18g to 18r .Your dealer should of asked first if this is what you wanted.

I would tell the dealer to "figure out something", then hope he does it.

Why on earth would a dealer change an order from a customer without consulting the customer first? If they pulled that on me I would tell them to shove it somewhere dark and moist.

This is odd because @ www.fordvehicles.com you can "Build your own" with the 18g package

Start looking for another dealer. It is YOUR decision to change your order not the dealers. If you want to wait for it that's your decision. What's next, we changed your color so you would have the car faster.

Man that is messed up! I don't see how they could change your order w/o some kind of consent. But it could be hidden in the fine print. The thing that I don't understand is how so many people have been confronted with this 18G change issue and others have never even seen a problem with their order. Sorry, not trying to wake a sleeping giant," bad news for those of you getting IUP". I'd just confront the dealer with how that is not right to change your order w/o any kind of headsup. Good luck.

I ordered mine on Monday 27 December with IUP. To be precise, it has not yet been put in the system so not sure what they will tell me. However, I told them I wanted the car with IUP. If that meant it sat on hold, so be it. I refused to take the lesser 18r. Sure, I may have to wait but I wanted to at least get in line. As many have pointed out, it is a supply problem that even now shows signs of clearing up. If they were going to drop something this popular on their most popular car (not going to happen) they would quickly take it off the website as an option.

Take control, it's your money.

The IUP has not been cancelled.

The dealer wants to squeeze your order in because it does not want to lose its allocation spot or order another car in your place.

Insist on the IUP and have your order moved to February build, there seems to be a lot of allocation available for IUP that month. Otherwise, if dealer does not want to do that, cancel your order and take it to another dealer, ensure you have February build or later.

You will have to wait a few weeks longer, but better that than be stuck with a car you don't want.

Ordered mine yesterday with IUP and no deposit. Said it will be in late March Early April, I don't care. If it comes with anything other than IUP--I will look on the lot later..

Interior Upgrade Package includes the aluminum dash trim, steering wheel and shifter. It also includes the message center.
ICAP is the black and red package you mentioned.
