Sorry, no intent to rub salt in the wound. If all other factors are equal, it has to be a question of allocation. My dealer is a "medium size" place. As far as I know, they have so far only gotten 2 GTs and 2 V6s with another 2 GTs for the showroom on the way.

Mines a fairly large dealership, I just don't get it. They have like 20 V-6's and I know they haven't had any Gt's for sale except for orders. In Dec. I was second in line..... Dealer keeps saying end of Feb, beginning of Mar..... I don't believe it especially seeing I'm still C/U.....

Hey Hellcat6. Mine was pulled last Thursday also. I haven't checked yet to see if my build week is the 21st or not.

I'm in the York,PA area. I bet yours and mine are shipped together most of the way if mine is built the same week as yours.

When I went to test drive a GT (hah!-thought they had one on the lot) last Friday, I got to drive a V6 5-spd, and the guy told me their was a backorder of 60,000 GTs nationwide. I feel for you folks, if it was me, I would be a raving insomniac by now. Hang in there.

Hi Simon

Your new baby is scheduled to be born during the week of February 21.
It will still probably be the end of March or early April before she can come home.
She will have to stay in the “nursery†with all the other newborn convertibles for a little while.
Thanx
Steve Davidson

I was given a build date week 28th Feb as well.
First person I have seen with even near the same order as me. Congrats on the build date.

Last week was my build week... but the number stopped updating on Thursday the 3rd. Even today it says, "As of February 3rd, your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of January 31st." Okeedokie.

February 3rd is like "Groundhog Day" for my car.

I could not find the topic on when ordered and when build so if its ok I ordered Dec 12/04 then was confirmed Dec 14/04 Then Dec 16/04 there will be a delay due to the Overwhelming responce to IUP, Dealer get his sheet every Monday here and he prommised to call Nope maybe day off ? so I e-mailed Ford and they sent back schedualed build between Feb 21/04 and Feb 28/04 . So I figure with the delay and all thats pretty close to the general 6-8 weeks time frame. most have seemed to average two up to three months and for some Dumb reason some up to sis months ?

Mine updated! I'm now c/u as of 2/4 instead of 2/3. Hey, at least it updated..

If Ford has sold over 10,000 units each month for the past three months and if they continue at this pace.. taking into account a 3 to 5 month wait.. at what point do they stop taking orders for '05s and make them '06s?

tick tock tick tock..

Now that is a good question especially that if they release them tis spring ? I wonder whenthe dealers start to get them in, heck all the major car rental companys that wanted them too don't expect until April or after on to 05 GT or V6's

You know, the longer I wait, the more hilarious this gets. How screwed up is Ford that they would let customers wait 10+ weeks with no news, but will turn other orders areound in 6 weeks???

I don't think it makes any sense.
